Solid but not very good. He coached them well, and he got decent results against fair competition. Miles’ lines consistently had guys that the pros didn’t even look at. T-Bob played a lot for us, and he could not have started at Tulane.

In 11+ years at LSU, Miles recruited or coached 13 OL draft picks. Only 1 was a Saban recruit (Whitworth).

In 4 years at LSU, Saban recruited or coached 4 OL draft picks, two of which were on the roster when he arrived (Winey and Williams).

I’m not necessarily disagreeing with your assessment, but Miles was just as effective if not more so in getting OL talent here as Saban was.
