It takes like 6 months to rehabilitate someone. If he just went to detox and came home, it’s not enough. I have a close family member who got hooked on pills and fentanyl. They went to a live-in program for like 8 months and they are an employed, fully functional member of society and are a good parent to their kids. Long-term rehab is worth the money. After 8 months, the person is no longer a drain on their family or society.

I wish I could agree with that. Our family member's experience has not been that way at all. I have long since given up on her. She's still in the crossbar hotel and has more charges coming because of drugs.
