Yep. This is 9 acres on the strip not some old industrial complex outside the city. Another casino/hotel there would print even more money.

This is a deal A's ownership wants and nobody else. They will make a killing on seat licenses and ticket sales to the casinos and hotels and not care at all about any fans being in the stadium

Also as someone else said, baseball stadiums aren't very multiuse. This is also 81 games of ingress/egress from a stadium on the strip opposed to 10 for the football stadium
