Oh I know. Its really no different then moving to be in a good school district to avoid having to pay for private school.

People move outside of the city all the time when they have kids to live in the burbs and raise a family. Its all the same really.

I will say though, getting a quality education has as much to do with your peers as it does the teacher. Being around a lot of really smart people really pushes you to strive more, as opposed to being around people that are not as smart. It really improves the class environment also.

Totally agree. That’s what makes it a tough choice for dudes like the OP.

Interesting side point since you spent time in Del Rio. The top 10/6 rules have primarily benefited kids from rural and south Texas. Far more of them in Austin and College Station than before. Hasn’t done much for inner city kids. Maybe helps prove your point about class environment.
