6.5 Grendel is what I hunt with on my thermal setup. It does the job, but on larger hogs , broadside hogs still run 30-40 yards, using 123 grain SST’s. 308 is better if you want no tracking IMO, but for light recoil and f/u shots and decent suppression, I tend to favor packing that Grendel around.
