We were having a crawfish boil at the house and my son asked could I move the vehicles so he and his buddies could shoot some hoops. I jumped in my vehicle, started it, and backed over our 14 year old half blind and deaf dog. I flattened our 4 pound dog like a pancake. No one knew the dog had gotten out of the house. It was awful. I still feel bad about it to this day despite the fact I know it was an accident. Can’t say I’ve ever hit a dog driving down the road though.

Some dogs/animals seem very wary of vehicles

Some not so much

Vehicles are this mechanical creation that I think is hard for animals to prepare for in terms of sudden movements etc meaning it’s not part of the natural world.
