It's both. JJ is driven, dedicated, organized, motivated enough to put in the work to make sure LSU has the best of the best.
I'm far from a Mainieri hater, but I would not have wanted to have to see him manage our roster, plus sign freshman, plus try to juggle the transfer portal.

No doubt that LSU is the best place in general, but some kids don't think that way about their situation. For example, Frey, Jones, and Guidry aren't playing at what may be their preferred position. This is where Jay Johnson comes in and gets them to buy into the team aspect.
