The rear of the car seems to be the worst part. Remember when Kurt Busch and Bowman got serious concussions in 2022 after hitting the wall with the rear of the car? Supposedly NASCAR did work after 2022 to make the rear less rigid so it could absorb more energy, but just based on the in-car cams it seems like a rear end hit still sends a lot of energy through the driver.
