Sure … I work a good deal in his favorite place in the world - SE Asia. I find myself following his footsteps in many ways - random food stalls, interesting bars, meeting people that don’t look like me or speak my language regularly and living a life on the road. It also can be lonely at times away from friends and family, so I get both sides of the lifestyle.
