Proof the 2018 NFC championship call was not blown but orchestrated
Bill Vinovich, the ref in charge of that crew and call has been named head referee for the Super Bowl.

If that call was considered as bad to the NFL as it was to Saints fans and the media then the risk of it repeating would have prevented that decision.

Plus, ALL FOUR REFS on the field for that game and on that play RESIDED in or near Los Angeles. Hmmmmm.
Also, why did the officials in the press box not stop the game to review that call?
Also, I read in the TP last week on the 5-anniversary of that game, that THE HEAD OF NFL OFFICIALS personally called Payton THAT NIGHT to ADMIT that they missed the call.
So:
* EVERYONE WATCHING THE GAME ON TELEVISION
* ALL THE BROADCAST ANNOUNCERS CALLING THAT GAME
* EVERY BREATHING SOUL INSIDE THE SUPERDOME FOR THAT GAME

saw that the Rams DB hit Lewis TEN CENTURIES before the ball got there (and did a helmet-to-helmet hit)........

E-X-C-E-P-T....

""""""""""""" O - N - E """""""""""" man???? Vinovich ???

So ONE man cost an entire region not only a Super Bowl appearance, but untold millions in revenue ?????

And....

He is STILL allowed to referee NFL games ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

There was nothing about that play that was reviewable. The PI being reviewable was only a thing that year after that play

Also, this will get DV to hell, but it wasn't Vinovich's call. Vinovich is watching the QB until after he releases the ball, he is then panning over to the play. I doubt he could tell the DB got there early. Now the other 2 (maybe 3 if you include the BJ) should be out of the league.
