Except when you increase spending more than you increase your tax revenue, it becomes welfare. Inflation kicks in and here we are.

No one except Newt has slowed down, much less actually cut spending. Trump isn't going to, DeSantis would not be able to, and I have serious doubts anyone in Congress would allow it even if either of them was.
But I'm an anarchist and the quickest way we'll get there is a complete collapse of the government due to the massive debt burden building, so... oh well.
