If you could change your flight, I would fly into Florence, then take a train to Rome from there on Wednesday. That would probably give you an extra 1/2 day in Florence. May is a great time for Florence.

Ok. Maybe I’ll do this. I really don’t want to stay in Rome for 6 days. So I was thinking 1.5-2 days in Florence would be best.
Now I’ve got to get suggestions on what to do while in Florence. I’ve got plenty Marriott points and there are 2 properties (St. Regis & Westin) right on the river, so we’ll most likely be staying at one of those.
