Same, mine started from small hobby, got laid off after 2 months on a job (entire department got cut)…we were about to adopt a baby, but my wife just said help out and concentrate on the business. After covid I grew my business into a monster, though I’m sure everyone still thought I was crazy.

Now I’m starting to kick around ideas on new businesses to start.
