Ron never said that. That was a lie spread by Trump arse kisser and hack pollster, Richard Baris. However, Trump promised we'd never see him or hear from him ever again if he didn't get re-elected in 2020, and therefore not run again.

Trump stabbed DeSantis in the back. He attacked him 3 days before the 2022 Election and around that time he started pimping Charlie Crist. His priority should've been uniting the party to engineer a red wave, but instead he cared more about his 2024 run than a 2022 red wave.
