We had six straight losing seasons prior to Gerry arriving. Worst period of modern LSU football ever. He turned it around instantly and showed the nation what could be done here. While he didn't get over the hump, he started our awakening.

He went to the independence bowl twice and a peach( before it was big) ….. not like he went to the sugar or anything close.
