I get it but you have to punt. Your defense is bullying Washington, their Running back is hurt, and they have no momentum. You have to force them to go the length of the field on your defense. Going for it and not making it is a momentum shift in itself that gave Washington hope.

4th and 2 from the opponents 37 you go for it every time. That’s not even a question. Odds are you get a touchback and so you gained 17 yards of field position at the expense of the opportunity to score points.
That’s not even a close call. Just bc it didn’t work doesn’t mean it’s not the right call every single time.
