You are saying you're buying some acreage?

I live on a small farm in Va and spend alot of time outdoors. I love Texas, but if you're talking an hour around Dallas, the terrain isn't nearly as appealing as E Tenn and good lord it would be hot for a large chunk of the year. Tenn gets hot and humid, but not for months on end. On the other hand, if you are an OT-baller / JR-type and will have your staff do all the ranch work, then Texas would be fine.
