3 outlets on the same circuit stopped working. A 4th outlet in the same circuit still working. The 3 that aren’t working show 50v. I’ve looked for a loose neutral and checked all the breakers. Totally stumped.

Any ideas?

I am assuming those four outlets are the only 4 on the circuit. Is so, the first outlet that is working is probably where the bad connection is. If you follow the wires back from the working outlet, you will probably find one goes to the breaker box and one goes to a non working outlet. Turn off the outlet ans check the wires going out to the next outlet. I think you are on the right track looking at the neutral.

A quick test is to check the voltage to ground. This should be the same as voltage to neutral. if it is 120 to ground but something else to neutral (like 50) hen the issue is with the neutral.

Could be a loose or broken wire, but check for corrosion or carbon as well.

Just my thoughts on what is probably going on.

Thank you guys very much for your help. I finally just decided to call an electrician. He’ll be coming out on Wednesday. I’ll share results on here. Again, thank you.
