If you want to try a Bluebird house, I'm in the second year of using four of these:



I've used them along with my other, traditional Bluebird houses. I mounted mine the same, on a pole like that. They're the easiest house to monitor and clean. You just squeeze the PVC pipe and it comes off of the mount, look at the nest, and put it back. They're relatively easy to make, too, or I think some people sell them. I made mine out of scrap material I had around.

I'll be changing all of mine over to these as my other houses have to be retired.
