Not having a car note is a great feeling after you've previously had one
Remember how good it feels and hold onto the thing for a few years note free

I had a $250 note about 12 years ago. Paid off in about 2 years. I haven't had a note since.
My wife bought a Toyota Sequoyah 2 years ago. $380 payment (after a hefty downpayment) and paid it off just under 2 years.
No car payment gives us a ton of flexibility.
We have about $50k cash on hand (checking, savings/emergency fund).
Ideally that is $62k over the course of the year (in case I need/want to replace my vehicle or if we decide to purchase a kiddie condo for my college aged kids).
