Not a roku tv, but we have one firetv in the kids room and its been damn near unusable since we bought it. I just plugged a external firetv in it and use it that way.

If you haven’t already, maybe try googling the issue. I had a problem with a fire stick(kept dropping Hulu Live), and finally found the suggestion to restart it from the settings. That cleared it up.
