Seriously the reason men in Islamic culture have such disdain for women is because their religion teaches them that women are not their equal. They have marginalized women and unlike western culture women are unable to mitigate through sex...because outside of having babies they think it is wrong, men and women. In the west even when women were basically property they could withhold sex and keep their man toeing the line more or less. Society would also help by only allowing a certain amount of mistreatment.

Women in the west are headed for the same experience as women in Islam. They are unwilling to use the power of sex because it is beneath them...they have been told they are equal and thats all there is to it. Thats all fine and well but there is the biological imperative that drives both sexes to procreate. As more and more decide not to have kids...and its the right decision in our culture today...more and more men are marginalized YET they are still men and still wield all of the power in our culture. We may be equal on paper and as an idea but in reality it just ain't so. If it doesn't change western women are going to find out just how unequal they are. Roe v. Wade being overturned is just the tip of the iceberg....once the dust settles there is other similar legislation that will come along. If the young people don't figure it out the group with less power...women...are going to bear the brunt of the multitude of problems that will arise from a society so dysfunctional that people can't figure out procreation.
