Oh gosh, I had a coworker once go out for takeout and come back with a bag of peel and eat boiled shrimp. Ate it at her desk!
Even if she'd have eaten it outside, how do you go back to office work after eating that messy meal?

I would literally never go there or if I did not use the kitchen. I can't stand that. Last shared work space I had like that I put a tiny refrigerator in my office and never went near the kitchen.
Yeah, I avoid it as much as possible.
I try to give the benefit of the doubt that these people are just letting things soak/placing them into the sink with intentions of going back.. then forgetting and over time not realizing the items in there were theirs. But man it is frustrating.

Honestly, I quickly became de-sensitized to people microwaving seafood. It was the salad that weirded me out the most. Warm lettuce...yummmm
