It is also more convenient. I rarely use cash anymore. The last time I got cash out was sometime in the early days of COVID. It had nothing to do with COVID I just remember walking to the ATM down the street from my office and it was the first time I saw "everyone" wearing a mask. I took out $400 and I just looked in my wallet and I have $207 left. The majority of that $193 was used for tipping valets and the like.
