CajunS if you have to worry about the reticle kicking in your eye ? you may only need to get a better scope . older eyes need more eye relief .. the only rifle scope i get close is on an AR varmint rifle that i can watch the impact on target. get a quality 3-9 x 50. I
deer hunt with 6.5 CM ,.308,3006 and 444
i chose according to where i am hunting.
180 Core locks in 06 ... good luck
