It’s 2.79 for the year. Microsoft pays a 0.8% dividend yield. Which means they’re paying relatively shite compared to comparably sized companies in terms of how much money they give to shareholders as dividends. It’s a growth stock, not a dividend stock. Microsoft is worth $2.8 TRILLION right now, $25 billion is chump change for them. This is another case of people not understanding how things work, and stupid journalists just capitalize on shock value to try and rile poor people up
