1. Bring back insane asylums.
2. Push to deregulate and reduce codes on building. Extra costs are added every year by lobbyists and private interests to push their products.
3. Deregulate and reduce rules on neighborhood developments in local communities. Often these rules are put in place to not protect the citizen but the first responders. Things like wider roads, fire protection codes on the homes add extra costs to building.
4. Educate people on actual finances.
Govt at all levels need to understand that each regulation that adds cost to build makes homes unaffordable to another segment of the population. More importantly the people need to understand that.
