Should've driven his EV to the airport. I'm a big fan of EVs but a 600 mile road trip with a vehicle that doesn't have an extensive charging network isn't very responsible. You need to know their limitations.

Seriously. The EV proponents will say the same thing. The “green travel” experts are advocating for the USA to transition to a system where electric vehicles are used for trips 180 miles or less, high speed rail for trips 180-600 miles, and planes for anything >600 miles. That guy was an idiot for trying to drive that in an EV.

Yeah, I think he was trying to fail. Never go behind 75% of max range. For trips longer than that, take a ICE car (most families have more than 1 care).
