His buddy Don Winslow has an even bigger case of TDS. It's a shame because The Power of the Dog is an all time favorite book of mine. Winslow is a frickin loon now though.

I read "The Force" and man what a collosal letdown it was. I could tell the guy was a talented writer but it sounded like a liberal screed against guns and police violence. It was a challenge to read and utterly worthless in the end.
