If he’s interested in watches and wants something mechanical and not a POS Casio, Hamilton is the best bang for the buck in the Swiss watch world. You can get a classic field watch, diver, etc that fit/finish/movement can go toe to toe with brands 10x its price for $200-400. They were the official watch of the Army, Navy, Marines etc and you can actually see the coaches wearing them in the Army/Navy game. They are also the most used watch in Hollywood movies and always do special editions for them (which can get pricier like their best selling Jack Ryan watch), but if your kid is into any of those movies he’ll get a kick out of it.
