I thank Sean for what he did for us, but he fricking bailed when the going was going to get tough - and left us swingin in the wind

Payton hired into a complete shitshow in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina & signed a free agent QB they weren't sure could even throw a football again at that time. But he bailed when things got tough?

We are lucky Al Davis brought him McDonald's for lunch at his interview with the Raiders otherwise he doesn't even take the Saints job to begin with.

yes he bailed.

look we all agree he landed Drew and it was a total crap shoot. BUT he built the offense around Drew, and when the backups had to come in and play, the offense lacked the normal rhythm. i think Sean knew that retooling the offensive scheme for a different QB was gonna be a bitch, so he left because "he needed a break".

the fact is, he wanted to wait for the right job to come along and be able to step in with a QB that could run his system, and not have to completely rebuild - Denver happened to fit that mold.

again, not shitting on Sean - I appreciate what he gave us - but the dismiss that he left when the going was gonna get rough, it silly at best.
