There are crash notifications that go out to an emergency contact list. At least you’ll know where to haul arse to.
It’s for peace of mind too. Once you know they’ve arrived wherever, you don’t have to worry anymore. No need for texts or phone calls; you know they are there and then you can go about your business.
About a year and a half ago a drunk hit my son. He was okay. I got the notification. I tried calling but it went straight to voicemail. By the time my son was able to call me I was already halfway to the scene.
