and you're the one talking about regional HSR lines: how much italics do I need to use to focus my point of contention, i.e., "this country." good lord son, stay on point.
again, try and keep up: this country is huge. it's a wonder we have the rail lines that we do. we are an enormous country, and if you know anything outside of the standard mercator projection map, you'd understand this. it's not hard to grasp why we, a singular country, don't have a rail network like europe; who's made up of dozens of tiny mississippi sized countries.
it's ignorance in the face of basic geography. try to understand that the op'er I replied to said, "this country," or don't- i couldn't care less if you can't stay on point. the point still remains: ignorance of the fact of the matter, no matter what it is, should be called out.
