The fact that he lit up a schedule that grueling will stand the test of time.

The postseason will always be the differentiating factor. But was the 2019 regular season schedule really that much more "grueling" than the 2023 reg season schedule? And did Daniels, individually, have a lesser performance against it? Hard to say that he didn't.

2023 FSU was much better than 2019 Texas. Daniels had 410 yards of offense in that game. Two key drops by Lacy and Thomas did LSU in. But neither were Daniels's fault.

2023 Missouri was MUCH better than 2019 Vanderbilt. The 2023 Florida game will always go down as Daniel's best game. But I'd argue given the caliber of opponent, venue, and fact that Daniels was playing through significant pain, Missouri may have been his finest hour. He had 389 total yards and 4 TDs against a really good Missouri team.

There will always be debate over if the 2023 Alabama team was better than the 2019 Alabama team. Record and achievement wise the 2023 team is better. But I think the 2019 team had more individual talent. Regardless, Daniels was destroying Alabama until he got taken out of the game. 219 yards passing. 163 yards rushing. 3 TDs...in 3 quarters. LSU likely doesn't win that game even if Daniels plays throughout because House and the defense were complete shite. But it's not unreasonable to think LSU at least hangs 42 points and Daniels accounts for close to 500 yards of offense if he stays in.

The 2023 Ole Miss team was infinitely better than the 2019 Ole Miss team. It still makes me want to throw up that House wasted such a great performance by Daniels. 513 total yards, 5 TDs, 49 total points...in a LOSS!

Again, what Burrow did in the postseason may never be matched. But from a regular season perspective it's hard to say the two weren't equal
