Bama doesn't get in without Texas also being in.

Without forcing Bama in, you get:

1. TCUN
2. Washington
3. Florida State
4. Texas
5. Bama

Because the committee decided to say frick everything, they didn't really have a choice.

Bama and Texas, Texas and Bama were tied to one another. Committee took the easy (cowardly) way out and excluded FSU per their QB situation.

In truth, UGA has an argument, but none of us has ever seen a P5 undefeated team NOT get in the 4 team playoffs.

Let's not pretend that the late great Bobby Bowden didn't win his first title by getting in over a major team that had coveted "head to head" distinction.

It may have been 30 yrs ago but the fundamental elements still apply
