Will receive a little extra income this week and somewhere around 10-15% of base income in February. They call it a bonus, I call it my fricking salary because it is earned like every other penny. They ain't giving away anything and I wouldn't take it if they did. Employers LOVE to pretend as if they are tossing their employees a bone...they ain't...every penny is earned.

interesting take.

I will tell you that my company would rather pay you during the year than having to wait for a bonus at the end of the year. we do pay a slightly above average base salary to our salesmen. we also tie our year end bonuses to net profit. a certain % of NP is divided up between all employees. just so happens that we made 5 new hires this year that are not yet paying for themselves. so no bonus this year.

however, all 4 of the "old" salesmen have reached their individual sales goals, so all of us will be paid substantial bonuses at the beginning of next year.
