You’ll be alright, never had anyone mess with my vehicle yet. I get there around 5 and it’s a short walk to the water. Decoys probably won’t do much for you unless you set up on the power line where they’d be visible to overhead birds. I look for any concentrations of floating acorns especially around a downed tree in the water. Many times I’ve been set up along palmetto bayou and could here a flock whistling on the water 15 minutes before LST only 50 or so yards from me, so there’s that option of listening for woodies then go to them without spooking. I definitely recommend going out there during the day and looking for acorns and have a better picture of how to navigate along those two bayous in the dark. I’ll be out there at least a few mornings during the last 2 weeks of this month. As far as crowds, that’s over after thanksgiving weekend. You’ll probably only see a truck or two in the parking lot and that’ll be deer hunters during the Christmas/New Year’s holidays. Good luck and leave me a couple drake woodies, lol.
