I guess I am the opposite. I don't own a single pair of khakis anymore, hate them. I wear jeans most of the time or nice slacks if I need to dress up.

OK, I agree on slacks, I used khaki wrong here, slacks is the better verbage.
But I will wear nice shorts(pleated or not) khaki, or black, green with nice shirt to church. Better dressed than many jean wearing heathens.
But I have nice running pants, not those sloth wearing warmup types.
