Genetics help but lots of hard workers in the family who lived long. Smokers got clocked for 20 years and died in their 70's but the non smokers went to their 90's. The women were still growing stuff in the yard and canning it when many were already taking the dirt nap.

It seems gardening > gym for keeping you healthy.

Not saying you can not party young, but it wears you out quick if you are still trying to hit the bars in middle age.

Other thing is Social Media shortening folks lives. Humans are made to interact in person. Turns out this group in Sicily was studied for generations as they had the greatest life expectancy. A chunk had relocated in upstate New York (cold as hell) and same results. turned out it was not diet, genetics, or exercise but they were extremely social and ate and laughed a lot as a culture.
