I would say it's an upgrade because of a potential match up with Notre Dame, also the teams are ranked higher than last year's Citrus Bowl match up.
But I believe the team Bowl payout is a little better with the Citrus.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Coach Cajun Kelly coaching against Notre Dame.
