Agreed. The only way to own one is for it to be a commute to work daily car and charge at home at night. There may be some convenience in that. Otherwise, I’m not finding the advantage

Any of the EV's would work for a commuter or around town runabout. Charge it over night at the house. Tesla is the only practical cross country option. Then it's still going to be a longer trip than an ICE car.
