Same here. Restaurant markup is huge.Im speaking of farm raised oysters on the Gulf Coast. Most restaurants are buying these oysters between .85 cents to $1 per oyster locally. Farmers are selling at .35 cents to .60 cents per oyster. Your average wholesaler chargers .22 cents to wash, box and ship. Some wholesalers do sell to another supplier then sold again which can increase cost.
