I agree with this. Obviously I have no idea what the truth is but from what we know of Trump, I can only deduce two things:
1: Even a President can be shutout of SAP classified information.
2: Or even a man as brash as Trump recognizes that the truth of that event would cause an injury critical to the United States of America or start a world war.
I can see absolutely no other reason.

this has been my only conclusion also, but I cannot imagine the scenario behind that.
to me it was all LBJ wanting to be POTUS and this was his only route to it - was going to be replaced as VP in next election.
But how he got the 3 letter agencies to cooperate had always been a mystery to me (my mind has been changed on that topic after witnessing what they did to Trump in the past decade.)
I still think it was a mob-related hit, but am certainly willing to be pursuaded that the FEDs were involved somehow - if only to not stop the whole thing before it could be executed.
