I read about this the other day. The fact they could get to him and actually get ropes around but not able to pull him up because of the angle he was in is heart breaking. Cant imagine being that close to be able to save someone only to not be able to do so.

Can you imagine, looking at the angle he was at, that when they started considering breaking his legs to get him out, how badly they would have had to have broken them to get him out?
