Maybe it’s been addressed elsewhere in the thread, but they aren’t saying his stake in Cane’s is worth $7.6 billion. They are estimating his net worth at $7.6 billion. His net worth would also include any other investments he has made with his earnings from Cane’s so far - which is why the article cites the estimated valuation of Cane’s plus the dividends he has received up to this point.
