Germany's economy, both in the roaring twenties and following Hitler's rise to power, were both a deck of cards. The roaring twenties was propped up by foreign investment and the 30s were propped up by state funding into rearmament and mass projects, but neither were sustainable. The 20's were dependent on external funding and the 30's were predicated on the ability to wage a successful war.

Ok, admittedly i cant say i know much about their economy at the time. I think one of Hitlers arguments was that the Germans had been stripped of their lands and abilities to have a successful economy. I think his argument was that they had to go to war or else they'd be forever dependent on outside help. It wasnt just hey lets go kill all the jews. I dont think that would have worked for most ordinary Germans.

When i said Germany rebounded, i was speaking of their army/war machine.
