re: Train travel around UK

My wife and I did this exact trip this past March. From what I recall there are only two train services between London and Edinburgh. It’s also not a hop skip and a jump either. About a 5.5 hour train ride with a lot of stops. Also the landscape didn’t really start to get pretty until you get closer to Scotland which is about 4 hours into the trip. I don’t regret doing it but next time I’d just take Bristish Airlines puddle jumper and get there much quicker.
