Can we stop this wishbone formation?..

I think it will just be too much for us...

Ga.Tech makes us look silly...

They also beat UGA..hmm?..inside the hedges?..and we lost at home?..

Only way we stop Tech is to fill the gaps and MAKE frickING TACKLES.

We will have the crowd advantage even though its their home town.

Tech is full of geeks, pretty quiet, they had trouble selling out their home game against miami 3 weeks ago.

Bench secondary. Replace with second and third stringers who actually want to win.

You're kidding I hope. GT sold out their allotment of tickets already, while LSU is looking at possibly having to return tickets because so there were so few requests. Unless the general public steps up and buys the rest, LSU will have to send tickets back.

stopping the option takes good sound disciplined defense!...which we dont have! Should LSU destroy Ga Tech..hell yea! will we? pff who frickin knows, only way LSU will beat Ga Tech is if all the players get their head out of their asses and stop talkin shite and finally start playing LSU football.

Man I live here in Atlanta, its easy to sell out an allotment of 10-15 thousand tickets. LSU fans will step up once it's announced. Atlanta on New Years Eve is a great atmosphere and give true Tiger fans time...we'll scoop up the tickets. We have more than 10k LSu grads living here in Atlanta. Tech are fair weather fans...they don't sell out their own stadium here for big games.

LSU fans are not going to go to Atlanta unless a new DC is in place. Very few fans want to go see LSU get 70+ hung on us again while the defense looks to the sidelines in utter discombobulation.

Then why didn't more fans request bowl tickets to begin with? No reason to wait if they intended to go to the game all along.

That didn't help last year at the SECCG where LSU fans were outnumbered about 3:1 by Tennessee fans.

I called the ticket office when I got the email about the deadline extension to request tickets. The girl I spoke with used the word "alarming" in respect to the lack of orders compared to years past. LSU will not travel well for the bowl game this year. They even offered people on the season ticket waiting list a chance to order bowl tickets.

GT actually runs the Flexbone, which is somewhat different than the wish.

Either way, LSU would probably have a better chance of stopping the flex than a Big 12 passing attack.

Well, flex option.

In any case, that entirely depends on who is at the helm of the defense. Evidence suggests that a Mallory and Peveto lead defense willl not play disciplined, assignment football, which is precisely what is necessary to stifle the triple option.

Thats absolutely correct, and players HATE to defend against that sort of offense. Will be interesting to see.

I know this sounds simple, but I think it all depends on how effective GT's passing game is. If LSU can load up the box and effectively shut down the run game and force GT to beat us with the pass, then I think we can win. But we really haven't been able to shut down anybody's run game all year, although we've not faced a predominantly run oriented offense like GT.
Plus a lot will depend on whether or not the players realize just how badly they've been embarassed this year and decide to step up and kick some arse. If they go in with the attitude of just being happy to go to a bowl game, it'll get ugly!

shite guys, back off the edge of the cliff!!!

I think on the positive side. And this is it....
We have some very big, very fast boys up front. I think our guys are going to play with some passion and surprise you.

Try being a little more supportive.

Now that's a novel concept, I think that may have just blown the mind of our entire coaching staff ...
