This is comical. You think stars don't run things in the NBA?? How many coaches have been fired because the star player wants it. For reference, go check out the minutes restriction Darvin Ham put on LeBron for this season. LeBron said the hell with that when he wanted to stay in the game, and it didn't even last three games.

You cannot go out there if the medical staff has told you you’re not ready to go.
That opens up a whole arse pandora’s box where if you injure yourself further the team could cancel your contract and everything.
Saying you don’t like the minute restrictions or the coach is completely differently.
