Did anyone like that movie? If so, please tell me what I am not understanding.
Was it good for 1973?
i probably watched this movie for the first time when I was maybe 12 or so back in '92 and I instantly got it and thought it was a classic and completely understood its place in time and appreciated it for its nostalgic value and also saw how my oldest uncle would have spent his days in high school. Plus I was already an avid fan of oldies music so I knew every song that played on the soundtrack which I got for Christmas on CD.
Anyway, i cannot see how anyone that is an adult cannot see this the same way and understand the importance of such a movie given the time it was released and the turmoil in the country and also the fact that it was the first of its kind with coming of age story and music that reminded America of a simpler time.
Not even to mention the fact that besides all that underlying stuff, its still just simply a great movie ! Even a 12 year old can understand that bro !
